Does it hurt?

It’s not the most comfortable treatment. However, we do as much as we can to help avoid discomfort by applying a topical numbing cream pre-procedure.

What are the effects of this treatment?

This treatment helps to resurface atrophic and acne scars, smooth fine lines and wrinkles, contour the body and face, and reduce cellulite and stretch marks.

What skin types are allowed to undergo this treatment?

Don’t worry! This treatment is safe for all skin types. Morpheus8 only penetrates the dermal and subdermal levels of the skin, keeping the epidermis safe from injury. Hence, it also reduces the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

Are there specific pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions or recommendations I should be aware of?

Pre-Treatment:
Refrain from sun exposure 2 weeks prior your treatment to prevent potential hyperpigmentation. Avoid skincare products with exfoliating ingredients like glycolic and salicylic acid 3 days before the treatment. Discontinue the use of tretinoin (doctor-prescribed retinoids) 1 week before the treatment. Discontinue the use of retinol (over-the-counter retinoids) 3 days before the treatment

Post-treatment:
Resume exfoliating skincare products and retinoids within 3-7 days once your skin has completely healed. Continue to wear sunblock to protect your skin from harmful UV rays even after the treatment.

When will I see results? How long do they last?

You’ll instantly see visible skin tightening and brightening after the procedure. As for the other results, you’ll noticeably see the difference at 3-6 weeks, with constant skin improvement up to 3 months.

While the results of Morpheus8 are permanent, it is crucial to note that this treatment does not stop the natural aging process of the skin. Your skin will naturally change as you age because the collagen and elastin production depletes over time. Hence, you may eventually consider additional treatments to maintain the initial results seen from the treatment.

How often should I get this service?

We advise you to undergo 1-4 sessions, depending on the treatment area. Each session will typically have a 4-6 week interval with optional maintenance sessions should it be needed.

Is there downtime? When can I go back to work?

Downtime is very minimal as it just ranges from 1-5 days. You can go back to work immediately. Do note that you may experience mild redness, swelling, and bruising. These are normal skin reactions post procedure and should disappear in 1-2 days. We will also double-check your skin regimen post-procedure to see if you should be introduced to other skincare products to speed up the recovery time (e.g. AnteAGE products or growth factor solutions).

Can I wear my makeup after the treatment?

For best results, we recommend avoiding makeup 1-2 days after the treatment.
