However, we do as much as we can to help avoid discomfort by applying a topical numbing cream pre-procedure, and by using a cooling device during the treatment.

Pre-Treatment:

Post-treatment:
Resume exfoliating skincare products and retinoids within 3-7 days once your skin has completely healed. Continue to wear sunblock to protect your skin from harmful UV rays even after the treatment.

When will I see results? How long do they last?

If you choose the treatment to remove hyperpigmentation, you can expect to see almost immediate results. The micro crust will usually fall off within a week, and you will notice a significant reduction in hyperpigmented lesions. Over the following weeks, there will be continuous improvement in your skin's appearance, with further lightening of the lesions, and overall brightening and increased radiance of your skin.

For skin resurfacing, the results are more gradual, and you will see ongoing improvements over the weeks and even up to a year after the treatment.

How often should I get this service?

PicoSure Pro is so powerful that some patients may show significant improvement with just 1 session. Other than that, we typically advise you to undergo 2-5 sessions, depending on the treatment area. Each session will have a 4-6 week interval with optional maintenance sessions if needed.

Is there downtime? When can I go back to work?

You may experience minimal downtime, such as redness and swelling, which typically subside in a few hours. For others, downtime may last up to 24 hours. Please also note that patients may experience skin darkening 1-2 days post-procedure, which is just the micro crust forming. They will typically flake off 1-2 weeks after.

Can I wear my makeup after the treatment?

Good news! You can apply makeup at least 4 hours after the treatment.
